Grace be to you, friend.
Sam Ayooluwa, a Minister of God without Border, to the son or daughter caring for their parent(s) in seasons of weakness and vulnerability. Grace be to you, and strength for the weight you carry.
I write to the one who has chosen responsibility when it would have been easier to step away. You are caring for them physically, financially, emotionally, or by opening your home and rearranging your life. You have paused personal plans, adjusted schedules, delayed desires, and poured yourself out so they can be safe and supported.
Sometimes it feels as though you are losing yourself while trying to keep them whole. Sometimes you wonder if anyone notices. Sometimes it is harder because siblings do not show up as they should. The load feels uneven, and the silence of others can be louder than the burden itself.
Hear me clearly!!!! You are doing a noble thing. This kind of service may not always trend publicly, but it carries weight in heaven. Caring for those who once cared for you is not weakness, it is honor in motion. The Bible says, “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the LORD your God is giving you.”
