Across civilizations, family structures have shifted. There was a time when patriarchal systems strongly defined the home. In many places, that has faded, or is fading. In this present age, women empowerment has risen, and many women now stand as key financiers within their homes.
These realities are worth observing. However, my burden is to speak to fellow believers in Christ. Marriage is not merely a social arrangement. It is the first organization instituted by God, established before the fall of man. It was never designed as a temporary commitment but as a lifelong covenant. A covenant that must be understood through seasons.
Ecclesiastes 3 reminds us that life moves through changing times, times of increase and times of loss, times of strength and times of weakness, times of building and times of recovery. This is why I offer my two cents on 50-50.
